Project SEARCH Provides an Internship for Individuals with Disabilities
Los Angeles, CA - PathPoint, a California based nonprofit, is proud to provide an innovative internship for individuals with disabilities called Project SEARCH. In collaboration with Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center interns experience a yearlong placement that equips them with skills, work experience and valuable resources to expand their careers.
For many individuals this is the experience of a lifetime and often lays a foundation for career and employment prospects in the future.
Eric, a Project SEARCH Graduate as of tomorrow echoed his gratitude for Project SEARCH and the opportunities it’s given him this past year.
“Project SEARCH has given me the opportunity to get a job and I actually got a job. This makes me happy” shared Eric.
Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center saw Eric’s work ethic during his internship this past year and hired him upon the completion of Project SEARCH.
“I will be starting my job as a Porter in the Nutrition Department at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.”
PathPoint values the collaborative relationship with Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. Because of Project SEARCH and this internship individuals with disabilities who once felt stuck or unable to achieve employment are now learning valuable skills to broaden their opportunities.
Eric is a testament to the powerful impact that Project SEARCH makes. Whether through the curriculum, classes, rotation or yearlong process – Eric now has the competitive skillset he needs to succeed. Eric, we wish you the best in this next season and are so excited to see where life takes you!
