(January 28, 2019) PathPoint announced the appointment of April Lewallen to the position of Vice President, North Central Coast Division which provides support for people with developmental disabilities in San Luis Obispo County and North Santa Barbara County.
April will oversee the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of all programs, including residential, community integration, and employment, that assist more than 600 people in the community annually.
April joins PathPoint after an extensive career with the YMCA, holding the titles of Chief Operations Officer, San Luis Obispo County YMCA; Chief Executive Officer, YMCA of San Joaquin County; and Senior Executive Director and Executive Director of the Valley of the Sun YMCA.
She takes over the role for Karen Moore, who was promoted to the position of Executive Director, Developmental Disability Services, overseeing programs for all five counties in which PathPoint works.
“April brings a strong combination of management skills and passion for working with people with developmental disabilities,” said Karen Moore, executive director, Developmental Disability Services, PathPoint. “We look forward to program enhancement and expansion under her leadership.”
April holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and is a recent graduate of Leadership San Luis Obispo, Class XXVII.
