Important COVID-19 Update

March 20, 2020

We care deeply for every person we support and all PathPoint employees. With the Governor’s order to shelter at home to slow the spread of the cornavirus, COVID-19, PathPoint will close developmental disability day programs in the five counties of Kern, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura, until further notice.

PathPoint will continue to operate its Independent Living Services and Supported Living Services programs. They are considered essential services for people with disabilities. In addition, we will continue to support people in our Independent Supported Employment programs who are working in essential services such as grocery stores, as long as conditions allow.

All our Behavioral Health programs continue to operate with modifications: Counseling Center is offering telehealth appointments and 1:1 appointments with social distancing; Mountain and Phoenix House residential facilities are operating with strict health precautions; Support Services for residents in housing authority complexes and independent housing are ongoing with an increased focus on telehealth; Community Supports Services continue to provide essential services 1:1 following CDC guidelines and telehealth; Life Skills Center in Thousand Oaks is conducting telephone and 1:1 in-person meetings with social distancing; and, our Transitions Employment program is operating by phone and video conferencing.

Youth Networked Services will be provided by phone and video conferencing.

Thank you to the dedicated individuals we support who work in essential services, our staff that support them, our staff supporting people living independently, and staff looking after our mental health. We appreciate your efforts.

This is a very challenging time for all of us and we will get through it together. We look forward to supporting you again soon! Please stay healthy, safe, and kind during this unprecedented health emergency.

Sincerely,
