PathPoint Services in San Luis Obispo

PathPoint has support individuals with developmental disabilities in San Luis Obispo County since 1998, through a merger with Friendship School.  We started the first Project SEARCH transition-to-work program in the county in 2017.

PathPoint Services Offered in San Luis Obispo County

  1. EVR, an Integrated Work program, a blend of employment and community access programs, provides individuals an opportunity to explore their vocational interests.
  2. Individual Supported Employment (ISE) prepares and supports individuals to enter the workforce by locating jobs with local employers to match the skills and interests of the person and by providing the support services necessary for job retention.
  3. Job Placement Services (JPS) works with individuals who need just a little help to access the local job market.
  4. Project SEARCH is an international trademarked and copyrighted program model; a unique, business led, one year school-to-work program that takes place entirely at the workplace. Total workplace immersion facilitates a seamless combination of classroom instruction, career exploration, and hands-on training through worksite rotations.
  1. Supportive Services Program (SSP) provides 12 to 20 hours of one-to-one instruction and independent living support per month.
  2. Supported Living Services (SLS) delivers in-home customized support and instruction designed to meet the needs of individuals who may require more than 30 hours (up to 24/7) of support per month to stay healthy and safe.
  1. LEAP provides a wide range of services with particular emphasis on services for people who use assistive or augmentative equipment.
  2. ACTT (Advanced Computer Training and Technology) matches the specific computer application needs of the people we serve with today’s technology.
  3. SEP (Social Enrichment Program) services are designed to encourage meaningful interactions and community integration for people who have social or behavioral support needs.
  4. The Senior Activity Center is committed to the belief that all individuals regardless of their age or level of ability can continue to flourish and have a vital contribution to make to their community and society as a whole.

  2. Community Access Services (CAS) is designed to support people in developing independent living and community safety skills with a focus on community involvement and prevocational job readiness skills.
  3. Life Skills Plus (LSP) services are designed to encourage meaningful interactions and community integration for people who have social or behavioral support needs.
  1. PUENTES/BRIDGES provides support for transition-age youth with an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) and their families (who are currently being served by the Regional Center) in understanding the transition process from school services to adult services, and into the workforce using transition planning. PUENTES works side-by-side with families and their student to connect them to resources and services that will help in achieving the goals of the student after completing high school.
