I began with PathPoint Mental Health Services in 1988 when I first moved into their group home, ACP. By participating in ACP, then moving to more independent homes and receiving support, I was able to go to UCSB, and then Antioch for my MA degree. I lived in a home with supportive services from PathPoint for 10 years, then I was hired to be a part-time PathPoint support staff for others. Without these many services I would have never been able to live independently, graduate from Antioch with a Masters in Organizational Management, and be employed with PathPoint Mental Health for 9 years. Without services I would have never accomplished these things.
